Digital reflexion

In an atmosphere of silence and mystery, the work stands as a reflection on identity and power. Painted in soothing shades of blue, it depicts a figure seated on a throne with a majestic appearance, symbolising authority or introspection. However, the face is deliberately erased, replaced by a bright red cross, a bold artistic gesture that immediately catches the eye and calls out.

figure contrasts with the absence of distinct features. This facial void, crossed by the cross, seems to denote a loss of individuality or imposed censorship, leaving room for a multitude of interpretations: social criticism, psychological exploration or even a spiritual dimension.

The plain pastel background reinforces the impression of isolation and emphasises the centrality of the subject. The soft light that caresses the surface adds subtlety to the interplay of textures, oscillating between sobriety and emotional intensity. This work seems to invite the viewer to question the concepts of identity, power and silence in a world often marked by an overabundance of meanings.

My Artistic Approach: Hijacking, Deconstructing, Reinventing Images

My artistic work is an intellectual and visual quest that questions the role of the image in contemporary society. I explore the mechanisms by which images contribute to collective enslavement, by encouraging self-conscious discipline and the reproduction of norms imposed by the ultra-liberal order. Through a hybrid and critical approach, I seek to highlight these insidious dynamics while proposing artistic alternatives that destabilise and reorientate the way we look at things.

The Image: A Tool of Power and Alienation

The image, omnipresent in our digital and physical environments, goes beyond the simple status of representation. It is becoming a tool of power, manipulated to structure our desires, our thinking and our behaviour. By unpacking these functions, I am uncovering the normative influence of images in the construction of collective consent. My work is part of this critical perspective, seeking to liberate the image from its oppressive role and transform it into a space of resistance. Through misappropriation, I attempt to reveal the plurality of meanings buried beneath the superficial layer of visual evidence. Two creative areas: Painting and Digital Art

My artistic practice has two distinct but complementary focuses:

Painting and coloured graphics : This first section explores the materiality of colour and form. It is an approach in which manual gestures and traditional painting techniques are revisited to disrupt aesthetic conventions. My pictorial works reflect a sensory quest that questions the way in which colours and patterns influence our emotions and perceptions. Live video and digital art: The second, resolutely contemporary section is rooted in digital technologies. Using tools such as live video, image processing software and multimedia platforms, I create immersive narratives that confront the viewer with the omnipresence of modern visual flows.

These two practices are in constant dialogue, demonstrating my desire to blend tradition and modernity to produce a hybrid and committed aesthetic. The Multiplication of Media: A Copyright Crisis The exponential development of technology has revolutionised our relationship with images. Visual content can now be duplicated, shared and transformed ad infinitum, calling into question the very foundations of copyright.

This phenomenon raises major issues: The artist's loss of control over his own creations in the face of the multiplication of distribution media. The obsolescence of intellectual property rights, faced with the massive and unregulated appropriation of works. These tensions fuel my approach. By appropriating images, often iconic or banal, I question the relevance of copyright in a world where ownership is becoming fluid and collective. My works, made from gleaned images, are deliberately situated in a grey area, between legality and subversion, in order to reflect on legitimacy and creativity in the digital age.

Détournement: A New Visual Narrative Diversion is at the heart of my approach. By downloading emblematic or innocuous images, I strip them of their original meaning and insert them into a new narrative. This artistic manipulation, carried out using software and digital technologies, aims to disrupt visual reading habits and create spaces for reflection. Deconstruction: each image is stripped of its initial connotations, emptied of its original function. Reinterpretation: by attributing a new or analogical meaning to them, I make them capable of sparking a critical dialogue.

This process is a response to the visual saturation of our time, when images lose their singularity in a frantic proliferation.
