Escape

The starting point for my thinking is the world of digital media: social networks, mainstream media, streaming platforms. Technological development has transformed these spaces into saturated showcases, where images are produced, reproduced and consumed at dizzying speed. This phenomenon raises crucial issues, notably that of copyright, which is now in tension with the reality of the massive and uncontrolled distribution of works. The image is becoming a paradoxical object: ubiquitous and commonplace, but still subject to rights that seem outdated. In this context, I question the very notion of intellectual property. How can we still claim exclusivity over an image that has been seen, shared and hijacked thousands of times?

Détournement: A New Visual Narrative Diversion is at the heart of my approach. By downloading emblematic or innocuous images, I strip them of their original meaning and insert them into a new narrative. This artistic manipulation, carried out with the help of software and digital technologies, aims to disrupt visual readinghabits and create spaces for reflection.
